For rent is a first floor apartment of an original Victorian era home in historic Ocean Grove (OG) built in 1878, only 1-BLOCK to the beach! The house is situated in the Southern part of OG, 3-blocks south of Main St where you will find shopping, dining, and more. Asbury Park is just a nice walk up the boardwalk where you have plenty of Dining & Entertainment options. Ocean Grive’s Auditorium is a “must see”, along with the tent community and great lawn surrounding it. If you are lucky you can catch a concert or show in the Auditorium!
The apartment is a Railroad style apartment with a living room as you walk in the front, which has a large sofa with a queen pullout bed, coffee table that pulls up to be a table, & a TV with streaming entertainment. The bedroom with a Queen bed is after that, separated from the Living room with heavy drapes for privacy that are easily pulled back and stowed. The kitchen with seating for 2 & basic kitchen appliances/wares is past the bedroom. Then the bathroom in the rear (no tub, just a shower) off the kitchen. The apartment has been renovated within the last 5 years and the bathroom is brand new in 2020. there is comfortable outdoor seating for 2 on the front porch with views of the ocean & boardwalk. Quiet neighborhood, but lively in the summer nights!
The space is perfect for a couple or a single looking for a great stay in Ocean Grove, close to the beach & town. (NOTE: this apartment is strictly for 2 people, any parties above 2 must be pre-approved by the owner. you may contact the owner through VRBO for a prompt reply)
the property is walking distance to Asbury Park & Bradley Beach and allows you to park your car for the long weekend & leave it there!! Since OG was built as a community in the 1800’s, there are very few driveways. You can park anywhere on the street that isn’t yellow or handicapped - so there are plenty of places to park right around the house. The downtown of Ocean Grove is just 3 blocks away which also has a small grocery store & a laundromat that does wash/fold by the pound or coin operated wash. (No laundry in the apartment)
OG Beach badges are the responsibility of the renter and can be purchased online using the VIPLY app from your Smartphone or looking up “VIPLY Ocean Grove” on your browser to purchase them online. Bath towels are provided, but NOTE since COVID precautions are in place, you may want to bring Queen linens/pillow cases yourself if you are more comfortable doing that. Linens, pillows, & comforter will be provided for you.
There is a coffee maker in the kitchen and we have provided some coffee, creamer, and sugar for your use.
The kitchen is small, but has what you need to cook for a few people & there are pots/pans/utensils, etc.. there.
