The area surrounding the house is lovingly arranged in the form of extensive, well-kept gardens and terraces which are dotted with palms and other Mediterranean plants. In the middle of this stunning 120 m² garden landscape, you will find the spacious pool which can be illuminated at night and has a varying depth of 1 to 2 m as well as a wide entry. You can relax on the ergonomically shaped aluminium lounge chairs and parasol. A part of the terrace landscape is naturally shaded by trees, and a total of 45 m² of terrace is covered, adjacent to the house. The villa has terraces on two sides of the house which stretch around the corner, allowing you to use these shaded areas as an excellent dining spot with a wooden table and extremely comfortable outdoor chairs. You can comfortably look back on the day in the evenings with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a good red wine on the wide wooden chairs with soft, white seat cushions.
The house itself has a living space of 240 m² divided over two storeys. Downstairs, you'll find a large living and dining area with a semi-open kitchen. Terracotta-coloured floor tiles, walls designed in subtle colours, and white ceilings with recessed lights contrast the wooden beams. This creates a look which is both classically Mallorcan and modern and sophisticated. The three comfortable white sofas are perfect for enjoying a cosy TV evening on cooler days. An antique wooden table with a couple of dining room chairs can be found in the rear area of the living room. The kitchen is mostly open, but situated behind a free-standing half wall, which is why it is not visible from the living room at first glance. The beautiful kitchen has a full set of equipment stored behind wooden fronts, the stone counter is a lovely accent, and all appliances are stainless steel, giving the room a modern, stylish interior. At the same time, the charm of the formerly agricultural, fully renovated building still remains. This is particularly visible in the four double bedrooms, whereby one bedroom has two single beds and the others have large, king-size double beds. In the bedrooms, you will feel like a lord or lady of your own castle with the visible stone blocks and the exposed pieces of quarry stone in the walls. There is plenty of storage room available in the bedrooms, which can be air-conditioned if desired; part of the storage includes a walk-in closet. The master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom can be accessed from the living room via a spiral staircase. You will sleep wonderfully in this large, welcoming studio directly beneath the roof which is held up by a dark, wooden framework. The bathrooms are all fully modern and feature natural stone in pleasant earth tones or light mosaic tile stripes. They all have either a walk-in shower or a bathtub in which you can enjoy a long, relaxing bath.
The house is close to the national road which links the town of Santa Margalida to the coastal town of Son Baulo. As a result, you only need to drive 5 minutes to reach a beautiful and white sandy beach, which stretches out toward both directions from Son Baulo and, in the south, borders the magnificent and by no means crowded natural dune beach of Son Serra de Marina. More beautiful sandy beaches can be found along the 17 km long Bay of Alcúdia. There is a great weekly market at Santa Margalida on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and you can drive to the Can Picafort market on Fridays. The old port town of Can Picafort is located in the middle of the Bay of Alcúdia and is just a 5 minute drive away from the villa. In Can Picafort, you can find numerous bars and restaurants, along with a vibrant nightlife in the local clubs. You will have quite a different experience at the lovely Santa Margalida, one of the prettiest villages on the island. Here, you can still experience the original Mallorca.
