Positive: Excellent property in the old town. Stavi was a fantastic and gracious host. Two lovely balconies to sit on, all the facilities we needed and very nice welcome things like coffee, cream and sugar for the first morning. Very close to all the old town, and not very far to the beach either. We were two adults in the propery so it was very spacious for us, especially with the balconies for breakfast, coffeee, evening meals etc.
Negative: No fault of the host, but be aware there is some late night noise from bars, though nothing that stopped us sleeping. Also, the property is on the first and second floors, so access is up through a narrow stone stairway - be aware with luggage and children.
Summary: We had a brilliant week in Rethymno and the accommodation was a very special part of our time.
