A contemporary luxury holiday villa with private pool. Situated on a scenic and panoramic hill overlooking the Maggiore Lake, the villa is walking distance to the centre of Meina, a peaceful lakeside village on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. At a short walk (400 m) there are a supermarket with a delicatessen section, newspaper and tobacco store, hair salons, bakery, a gift shop, an excellent wine cellar, and a few restaurants.
The villa is not on the lakeshore, but is located on a hill above the lake and the village. The elevated location means a short uphill walk from town, the awards are unsurpassed views over the lake and the mountains beyond.
The ground floor has a fully comprehensive entertainment offering with numerous chill-out areas, including a games room, library, lounge, office, fully equipped kitchen, breakfast area and separate dining room. The entire floor is tastefully designed to blend modern comforts with a more traditional style and each room is spacious, bright and airy thanks to the many large windows and patio doors. The open plan design creates a sociable atmosphere, while the separation of rooms ensures privacy.
All six bedrooms are on the first floor and are spacious, bright and equipped with period-style furniture. All have exquisite views over the lake through large windows that allow in plenty of natural light. Even the bathrooms enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding landscape and the beautiful garden.
The terraced backyard over 4000 sqm is perfectly maintained with a rose garden and lawns, there is a private swimming pool with an adjoining pool house with a changing room, bathroom and fridge and of course an array of sun loungers surrounding it. Overlooking the fenced pool is a large vine-covered terrace with lounge chairs and poufs. The terrace is the perfect place to sit back and relax in the afternoon sun, especially with the added fun of the Bluetooth speakers playing throughout the garden. The large dining area is perfect for enjoying the fine weather over a delicious meal.
Just a short stroll from the beach, shops and restaurants of Meina, the location really couldn’t be better! The beach with a trendy beach restaurant-pizzeria and Meina’s train station is just 1 km away. Nearby you will find the lively town of Arona (4 km) with a beautiful promenade along the lake and many interesting shops and fine restaurants. From there you can easily hop on a ferry to explore Lake Maggiore. In Arona there is also a train station connecting you easily with Milan (1 hour by train).
