Positive: The problems were attended to promptly by the property manager. She did her best to help. As with many old apartment buildings that have been renovated there were still problems with sticky windows and old plumbing, but overall all the basics were there and working. Property manager was helpful at the end of the stay when it was pouring rain - she let us stay another hour and ordered a taxi for us to drop off the keys. English was not spoken well by anyone in Brescia - not even taxi drivers. Close to metro which was very convenient. Using WhatsApp to communicate with the property manager worked well.
Negative: The pick up location for the keys was 750 metres from the actual apartment. We didn't find out until we said goodbye to the taxi that dropped us off. We ended up dragging our bags to the address which was extremely difficult to find. Not good at the end of a long day. Bathroom plumbing leaked but plumber didn't fix it. So we had to keep mopping up the water for the 9 days. Internet was not connected - line fault which was repaired the next day. Need a taxi ride to drop off the keys at the end of the stay. Not happy about arrival and departure - thought that could have been managed better. Location next to a large hospital so there were ambulance siren on a regular basis.
Summary: The apartment was functional and basic and did all we needed it to do.
