Neighbourhood

Located in the heart of London, Pimlico’s brick townhouses and white stucco facades hug its well-planned streets. The bowed windows of its cafes and taverns look across genteel scenes—Anglican churches, private homes, and pristine gardens capture Pimlico’s envied restraint. Underrated and often overlooked, Pimlico augments its refined culture with casual conveniences like farmer’s markets, and easy access to high-class institutions like Millbank’s Tate Britain museum. It’s just fifteen minutes’ walk to Sloane Square, a stone’s throw from Tate Britain and Buckingham Palace is within easy reach. It’s also just a brisk half an hour walk to Trafalgar Square and, cutting through St James’s Park, the route is a scenic one too.

Supermarkets - Sainsbury's on Wilton Road and a Tesco Express and Little Waitrose on Warwick Way and large M&S in Victoria at Cardinal Place.

Local cafes - Gails and The Roasting on Churton Street and Khallouk and Taylor on Moreton Street. There is also a Cafe Nero, Pret a Manger and Patisserie Valerie on Wilton Road.

Restaurants – There are several great restaurants in Victoria in the Nova development like Timmy Green, The Palm House, Rail House Café, Sticks and Sushi, Greenwood and The Ivy Victoria. As well as other national chains around Victoria like Wagamamas, Five Guys, Bills and Shake Shack. More locally, there is a Cacio & Pepe which is a great little Italian on Churton Street and A Wong on Wilton Road which is one of the city’s best Chinese restaurants and currently has 2 Michelin stars. There is also a Rosa's Thai Cafe, Giraffe and Nandos on Wilton Road and a Pizza Express on Moreton Street if looking for something more causal/family friendly in Pimlico. The Olivos group have a number of Sardinian restaurants around Elizabeth Street in Belgravia which are popular.

Pubs - The Orange on Pimlico Road is lovely as is the Thomas Cubitt on Elizabeth Street in Belgravia and the Phoenix at Cardinal Place in Victoria.

Attractions – Iconic attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and St James' Park are a 20 minute walk away as well as the vibrant culture and entertainment of South Bank. Theatres in Victoria showing Hamilton and Wicked are nearby and there is a Curzon cinema on Victoria Street which screens a range of blockbuster and indie films. The new Battersea Power Station development with its unique blend of shops, bars, restaurants, leisure and entertainment venues, parks and historical spaces is a 20 minute walk from the flat and is next door to Battersea Park which has an amazing playground for kids as well as a Children's Zoo, Boating Lake and Go Ape if you fancy something more active during your visit. Tate Britain in Pimlico is a 10 minute stroll away.

Shops – there are lots of well-known high street names based on Victoria Street. Sloane Square and the Kings Road, one of the city's most glamourous locations for shopping, culture and dining, is a 15 minute walk away. Battersea Power Station development with over 250 shops, is a 20 minute walk away. Nearby Elizabeth Street in Belgravia is one of the prettiest streets in London and has some lovely upmarket boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

Transit

At the heart of it all is Victoria Station, less than a 10 minute walk away, a major transportation hub connecting various rail services (including a direct train to Gatwick Airport), the London Underground and bus routes. The Victoria Line, in particular, offers quick access to key destinations across the city. Pimlico is well-served by its own Underground station, and both neighbourhoods are well-connected to central London and beyond. This station is just a 7 minute walk away! There are plenty of bus routes surrounding the apartment that will get you to numerous places around London. You can also take a riverboat from Millbank Millenium Pier and head down towards Waterloo and Southwark. Santander Bike Stations surround the property if you feel like a cycle round the city.
