Summary: The home is beautiful BUT one of the things that impressed me most was that this home is incredibly functional for a family traveling with young children. We had a 2 yr old with us, so the built-in gate at the top of the stairs was perfect. There is also a gate provided to block the bottom of the stairs. There are changing tables throughout. You can tell safety is a priority for this host, even when you go outside to enjoy the backyard and the pool, even the second floor deck is gated. The appliances worked perfectly, the beds were super comfortable and the bedrooms had wonderful closets to store suitcases and bulkier items, so they're out of the way. The additional bathroom off the pool came in especially handy when us ladies were monopolizing the two bathrooms inside the living quarters. Communication with the host is excellent. Patti was quick to respond to questions and always willing to help if and when needed. I never felt like I was interrupting or annoying her, she was eager to be of service. The only con I can think of would be that you do have to bring your own linens, which was rather inconvenient when you're traveling in from TX. That being said, there are local companies that rent them out, so we were able to get what we needed. The quality of the linens really surprised me too, they were actually awesome. We were already discussing which week we should all go back next summer, it's that special.
