Positive: The location is superb - the view is idyllic and the location is calm and quiet. For access to Groningen, the Park and Rides are very accessible, but you can also strike out to the north of the region to visit the many natural wonders. From here, even the amazing fortress of Bourtange is less than an hour away. The property itself is well appointed, and has all you need for a self-catered base. We travelled with a two year old, and a cot was provided promptly and there was excellent communication with the hosts (they were on holiday when we visited, but are normally around - nonetheless they made sure everything was OK, were contactable for us and had local help to set things up for us). The facilities are good, with modern television for when you are tired of looking at the stars from the patio furniture. We came for only a few nights as a stopover on our way further east into Europe - but we are definitely planning to return here when we next holiday in this part of the world.
