Summary: John was an exceptionally good host and we had such a lovely stay in his place. The dog, Quintin, was a big plus! The biggest pluses though was the price and the fact it came with a very generous breakfast served on silver platters as part of the price. With the house itself a Victorian mansion/large estate, this felt like royal treatment. John also went out of his way for us, including letting us check out later and giving us stuff for Easter :) The room also comes with a small but private lounge separate from the rest of the house. The only room for improvement we could think of was around dust etc. and the smell of cigarette smoke, but overall a very lovely and pleasant stay for us in the heart of the New Forest.
