Positive: Based on price per square meter we felt this chalet was still reasonable value despite the things I've mentioned in the "didn't like" section of this review. The kitchen was restocked during our stay with new pans and glasses and now has almost everything in abundance (with the exception of cutting boards 1) including dishwasher. The chalet has a washing machine, drier and a boot warmer which was very useful. The chalet is spacious and the views over the valley are fantastic from all but the rear top floor bedrooms. Ski navette is a very short walk away and takes 2 minutes to lift. The 400m path to town is not maintained so in the winter isn't a realistic option. You can ski beside the road to get back if your adept enough though again the bus is relatively regular.
Negative: This chalet is showing obvious signs of wear and tear. In certain rooms things are missing and based on other reviews listing similar (if not the same) problems are on going issues which should really be resolved. In most cases these problems could be easily fixed but we felt there was a lack of urgency or/and time on behalf of the agent to properly address these and is probably in part due to the chalets popularity... These are things that we felt were sub standard but can and should be resolved. Agent. 1. In our case no welcome hand book or chalet instruction was provided, prior to or during our stay. We asked for one on arrival but none was provided. 2. Other than a booking confirmation, no other information/contact about our arrival was provided other than by text within 24hrs of arrival. The agent said she'd only just received our information before our arrival. Property 1. On arrival at the property it was mentioned the key safe was broken. Usually not a problem but with only one key provided this meant hiding it so other members of the group could gain access if you were out skiing. 2. The garage door is broken so you can't use the switch to open and close it (parking your car in it isn't therefore practical) but equally you can simply lift it open. You can lock the internal doorway for security but you are asked to keep your ski and boards in the garage so I guess that's at your own risk. 3. On asking about the operation of the much publicized sauna (on arrival) it was realized that this wasn't working at all. This was partly resolved within a few days but was intermittent. 4. No curtains at all in the front left bedroom! Main light switch not working. 5. Missing light cover revealing electrics in front right ensuite. Split door panel on wardrobe. 6. Poor sound proofing between master on suite and front right bedroom. 7. Jacuzzi bath in master room turns itself on occasionally. 8. No instruction for entertainment system.
Summary: Good but not as good as it looks.
