SHARC, the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic and Recreation Center, is an easy half-mile stroll from the cabin. A few cute coffee shops and restaurants are even closer, if you want to venture out for a bite and a latte. With wood walls and geometrically patterned carpets, there's a very ski-cottage vibe here. Start a fire crackling in the hearth and settle in with a book, or grab a board game from the shelf and challenge the others to a tournament!
If you want to watch something, there are TVs both in the living room and the loft upstairs - no need for disagreements if people don't want to watch the same thing. You've got plenty of options between cable, a DVD player, and a Blu-ray player. There's even a selection of DVDs to watch. When you want to upload some vacation pictures, log onto the WiFi. If you get hungry, head to the kitchen and whip something up. Stainless steel appliances and a full complement of cooking implements make meal preparation easy, and there's a coffeemaker if you need a little boost while you work.
Alternately, a gas grill on the deck outside opens up the possibility of a barbecue. Enjoy your meal at the large dining table or outside on the patio furniture, then use the dishwasher for a quick cleanup. There's even a high chair available for small children to use. The deck is a lovely place to hang out on sunny afternoons. You'll have a private hot tub where you can soak out any aches from the day's activities. Enjoy the scent of the pines and the sound of the wind as you luxuriate in the hot tub.
With three bedrooms and a sofa bed in the loft, there's room for up to eight guests to enjoy this Sunriver cabin. Two bedrooms have plush queen beds, while the third has a queen and a set of bunk beds. All of the bedrooms are decorated in the same charming ski cabin style, with wooden decorations and geometric patterns. Don't stress too much about packing - a private washer/dryer means that you can always have clean, fresh clothing.
This Sunriver retreat is ideally suited to families with children, but there's plenty for groups of adults to enjoy. Five adult bikes are in the storage room so that you can explore the resort on the paved bike trails, and there are excellent day hikes nearby. Fly fishing fans will be in heaven - Central Oregon is one of the best fly fishing spots in the state. You already have a private hot tub, but trust us, you're still going to want to spend time at SHARC. With pools, a tubing hill, and water slides, the kids won't want to leave. There are also non-water-based activities, like basketball, golf courses, and tennis at the resort too.
