Summary: Right upon arriving at Casablanca airport, I realized that the transfer that had been requested had not been arranged. After several phone calls to management (which is based in Marrakech) and about an hour later, the driver showed up to take me to Rabat. Upon arriving at Dar Mayshad, I noticed that there was only one employee—polite and friendly—handling practically all functions. I informed him that I would need a transfer back to Casablanca airport. Regarding the room, it is good to know that the door is made of wood and frosted glass and, therefore, light from the hallway enters the room. In addition to the light, a significant amount of noise also enters the room. On my last day, after asking whether late checkout was available and being told that it was not, I left my luggage in the office, as suggested by the staff, to pick it up later, when I would need to go to the airport. To my surprise, when I returned to Dar Mayshad, it was closed, and there was someone I did not know waiting outside with my suitcase. That person’s main concern was charging me for the meals I had had, and he had no idea that I needed a transfer back to the airport. After a series of phone calls, the amount I needed to pay was determined, and a taxi driver was contacted to take me to Casablanca. Payment of the hotel charges was made in the middle of the street, using a POS machine that only worked by sharing the Wi Fi from my mobile phone.
