The village has two small mini markets and taverns. More shops, supermarkets, restaurants, butchers, bakeries and an internet cafe in the larger neighboring village of Atsipopoulo (1 km). The sea is 2 km away, but the nearest organized beach on the coast is in the lively town of Rethymno. Nearby beaches are in Petres, Episkopi, Georgioupoli.
