Summary: Set at the end of a quiet Cotswold Lane with a large gravelled off-road parking area, Kingsley house is perfect for a peaceful and quiet stay, yet close to many places of interest in the beautiful Cotswolds. The house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has direct access to the garden and is well equipped for self-catering with a good sized fridge-freezer, large cooker, microwave washer and dryer. Maybe slightly short on pans and serving plates/dished but generally fine. The lounge is characterful with comfy seating and has a TV with many channels and Apps. There is a plentiful supply of games, puzzles and cards plus literally hundreds of books. The large dining room is airy and bright with french doors leading out onto a small patio with a small table and chairs - perfect for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine... or both! The fenced garden is lawned with deep beds of shrubs and trees and was a little 'lost' when we were there. The garden is private and gets the sun all day. There are cushions in the under-stairs cupboard for the outdoor patio furniture and also clothes dryer/airer, hoover, brushes etc. The downstairs cloakroom is a bonus and full of books on all-things-art! Upstairs, the 3 bedrooms are nicely furnished, the very large main room having a roomy ensuite and walk-in shower. The small double is very pretty but could do with lined curtains to keep out the light. It shares a full, large bathroom with the twin room, which is 'compact' but adequate. Unfortunately the cleanliness did let the house down, but could have been greatly improved with a little more effort. It was certainly cleaner when we left it! Overall though, we had a lovely stay and were close to many places to visit. The Falconry Centre was a big favourite with the children [9 and 7 yrs] as was the Cotswold Wildlife Park. Would definitely recommend Kingsley House. .
