The blue wooden house gets its name because of the similarity to Astrid Lindgren's Bullerbü.
You can park in front of the house, shaded by old trees. The large carport attached to the side of the house not only offers space for a car, but also for bicycles, prams, golf bags, etc. You can also come from here through a side entrance into the house or directly into the garden.
The large garden is hidden from view. Many fruit trees and bushes and the enchanted, child-safe pond make the garden property a place where you can switch off and relax.
The house has on the ground floor a fully equipped kitchen and an open living room with fireplace and TV, a bathroom with walk-in shower and a laundry room with washing machine, freezer, iron and ironing board and a
spacious and light-flooded bedroom with double bed and direct garden access.
Upstairs are 4 bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub, a seating area on the gallery with a TV and a panoramic view. Another large bedroom is under the roof.
Cycling: The entire area around and in Cuxhaven offers unique opportunities for cyclists (and riders). The 'Cuxhaven coastal heath' borders on the district of Oxstedt, where the holiday home is located: a huge nature reserve with a unique flora and fauna. Numerous bike paths invite you to great tours! Of course it is also wonderful to cycle the coast along the salt marshes and the Wadden Sea towards Sahlenburg, Dunen and Döse to the fishing port. Appropriate cycling tickets are available free of charge from the spa administration or at www. Cuxhaven. de for download. There are numerous bicycle rental companies in Cuxhaven, see Yellow Pages.
Children: You can do great things with children at any time of the year. In addition to bike tours, the mudflat invites you to get to know each other. There are tours for children and families that explain very well what makes the mud so special. You can also take a hike through the mudflats to the Neuwerk island, or have yourself taken there by horse-drawn carriage. It always starts at the beginning of low tide.
At the old love (part of the Cuxhaven port) you can book exciting boat tours, e.g. a harbor tour or a visit to the seal banks (preferably with a pirate!). There are also ferries to Wedel, Hamburg or Helgoland (Germany's only deep-sea island).
In Bremerhaven (approx. 30km) there is a beautiful zoo, which - located directly on the sea - offers a fantastic view and a great playground. The Klimahaus Bremerhaven is 350m further, which I personally highly recommend! Visit the website!
Shopping: Cuxhaven has a small but fine city center with many well-known chains such as Douglas, Newyorker, Benetton, Woolworth, Ernsting's Family, Tchibo and many more. In addition, there are also classic retailers (e.g. Fleischhut, a household goods store, where you can find everything for the household and a large toy department), great boutiques (some of them exclusive) and shoe stores.
Bremerhaven is 30km away. There is the Mediterraneo, a beautifully designed shopping center right by the sea. From there, a bridge leads to the city center.
Bremen is 100km away, there is of course everything your heart desires: a great, cozy and yet very large pedestrian zone, many restaurants and bars, and the huge Bürgerpark, which starts right behind the main train station and in which there is even a swimming pool and there is an animal enclosure.
