The Fex Valley is located 11 km from Saint Moritz and 45 km from Chiavenna (Italian border) at an altitude of 1800 metres. It is a marvellous natural setting in the Upper Engadine region. A veritable eco-system, this valley is unique, peaceful and protected, with no cars and no possibility of building. It enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine a year.
The Klucker house was built over 400 years ago on Fex Platta, on the valley's first plateau. Its former owner Christian Klucker, a famous mountain guide, gave it his name. Since then, it has been known as the "Kluckerhaus". In the 1930s, the house was acquired by the Cramer family, who have been preserving its authenticity for 3 generations.
Fex is in the heart of the mountains and larch forests. You can enjoy an exceptional panorama, with the valley glacier, the Tremoggia (3441 m altitude), the Chapütschin (3386 m altitude), the Marmoré and the Muot Ota (2275 and 2458 m altitude respectively) in front of you.at the back of the property winds the "Fexbach", a transparent turquoise river that flows through Sils Maria and into the Inn. Sils can be reached on foot via the Schluchtweg, which takes around 15/20 minutes.
