The house can easily accommodate a couple, a family, or even a small group.
(There is a $500 fine should we become aware of any unauthorized events or parties.)

We are located in a close-knit neighborhood with really nice neighbors, so no excessively loud music, please…especially after 10pm.
We also ask that you please treat the house as if it were your own; over the past several months we’ve poured our hearts into making this space our desert dream!

We are also a 10 minute drive from the National Park's main entrance, where you can get a front row seat to Joshua Tree's one-of-a-kind landscape, whether by way of hiking trail or a peaceful drive.
Additionally, the home is located just 35-40 minutes from beautiful balmy, beautiful Palm Springs.

Modern Desert Hideaway is located in a very nice, quiet, and secluded neighborhood in the heart of Joshua Tree - here we enjoy SPECTACULAR views year-round.
There is ample parking for 4 vehicles in the two front driveways.
We are centrally located and only about a 5-minute drive from shops, grocery stores, cafes, museums, and 10 minutes to the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.
No special vehicles or skills are required as the roads are well maintained throughout the year.
****SMOKING IS ONLY ALLOWED IN THE BACKYARD - ABSOLUTELY NEVER INSIDE THE HOUSE AND NEVER IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE****
We cannot stress this point enough....PLEASE respect us, our home, and our neighbors at all times.
If any type of smoking is detected inside the home, there will be additional cleaning fees levied, starting at $500.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES FOR OUR GUESTS:
• PETS
This property is pet-friendly, we allow well-behaved dogs under 25lbs, no more than 2 at a time, for an additional pet fee. We do not allow pets on furniture or in the bedrooms, as a precaution to help keep the home clean for future guests.
The yard is FULLY fenced and very safe, BUT, this is the desert, there are many wild animals roaming around their natural habitat, as such, it is very important to keep a close eye on your furry loved ones at all times! (We keep a very close eye on our ornery little corgi at all times as she thinks she’s a lion and not a dog.)
There is an additional, non-refundable charge per pet. This helps us ensure we can properly clean the home for future guests who may have allergies. Please disclose if you will be bringing your furry friends with you. Once you book, we will request the additional pet fee of $99 from you. If we discover that there is an undisclosed pet in the home, you will be charged an additional fee.
- CAMERAS/SECURITY: Security cameras with floodlights are located on both the east and the west side of the home and at the front above the garage door, along with a ring camera doorbell for your security, and for your ability to communicate directly with your host, should it become necessary.
*****(As per Vrbo guidelines, tampering with any of our security features and/or cameras is strictly forbidden. If any guest is found tampering with any of our cameras, the entire stay will be terminated immediately, no refund of any type will be provided, a fine of $500 will be levied, and both the local authorities and Vrbo will be notified.)*****
• KITCHEN
The sleek and clean Gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker station, and all the basic kitchen essentials: cookware, dinnerware, silverware, sharp knives, appliances, spices, and oils.
Our countertops are beautiful so we ask that guests do not cut directly on them and to please use a cutting board.
The refrigerator is full-sized and very spacious.
The kitchen is equipped with all cookware and dinnerware needed to prepare and enjoy a meal, but please bring your own preferred seasoning and additional ingredients.
• BATHROOM
We provide the following bathroom necessities: rainfall showerhead, several bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, plunger, q-tips, makeup removing pads, floor mats, and a high-end hair dryer.
• FIRE
Due to the remote location of our property and the convenient size of our large backyard, our guests can enjoy a nice outdoor fire in the large gas-powered fire pit surrounded by custom made patio furniture.
Guests must keep the fire well maintained and attended at all times.
If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, not in a fire pit, or, using fireworks or other open fire, this will result in your rental agreement being terminated along with an additional $200 fine.
• WASHER/DRYER
Our home has a high-end, high-capacity washer and dryer available to Guests.
• HOT TUB (legal)
We've installed a LARGE hot tub that will always be hot and ready for our Guests.
We ask that you treat it carefully and take care of it as if it were your own.
It is situated under the retractable roof of its own pergola and is PERFECT for some relaxing star gazing and letting out the stress!
Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host's employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest's household, or guest's guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host's agents resulting from guest's use of the hot tub.
• OUTDOOR FUN
We want to make sure that every single guest has plenty of fun options so we've loaded our place up with all kinds of great outdoor amenities including a CORNHOLE set, and an upcoming horseshoe toss!
• GUESTS
You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us.
That includes day guests and overnight guests.
By renting this property, the guest responsible for the booking acknowledges that they have read, understand, and accept the terms listed above for use of the amenities, spa and guest policy.
• PRIVATE IN-HOME YOGA
If you’re like most people who want to go all out during their stay, you’ll likely want to have a private yoga experience in our Airbnb. Please inquire upon booking and we will set you up with a local yoga instructor for your peaceful desert getaway.
