Villa Casolare is located on a hilltop between Certaldo, the hometown of Boccaccio, and Montespertoli. The surrounding countryside is covered with olive groves and vineyards , offering a particularly beautiful and relaxing view. The building dates back to the 1800s and was renovated in 2014 adding the swimming pool (12x6, . 1.10 to 1.80 m deep) (29/03-29/10 open from 09:00 am to 8:00 pm), located approximately 80 m below the house with an outdoor shower and a large sun terrace. Next to the villa is an outbuilding where there is a pleasant loggia ideal for outdoor dining and with a living room/ gym with a few exercise machines. This farmhouse is ideal for large families or groups of friends because its location pleases those those who just want to relax in the shade as well as those who prefer spending their time visiting the most famous cities and towns in Tuscany. Both Florence and Siena, as well as San Gimignano, can be reached easily, either by taking the main roads or by following along the ancient country roads which alone are worth embarking on a longer trip for the panoramic views that they offer.
