This home is located in a vastly open part of the Joshua Tree Desert and accessible by short drive on a dirt road. Please be aware that the property is not fenced.
You will have exclusive access to the entire property however your vehicles will not. We ask that you do no drive your vehicles over any rock borders or anywhere on the property other than the existing driveway.

Jackalope cabin is centrally located about 18 minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and about 20 mins from the Integratron.
Please note you will have to drive about 3/4 of a mile on a well compacted dirt road. Four wheel drive or high clearance vehicles are not needed.

The space includes a well thought out and fully equipped kitchen along with premium furniture and decoration sourced from multiple locations around the US and world. Jackalope Cabin is expertly curated and designed desert dream cabin with hours of thoughtful touches and love behind every moment.
There is reliable and decently fast internet for such a remote location. A smart TV is located in the living room along with multiple books and games throughout the home. There are multiple indoor spaces for reading, drinking coffee or dining.
The bathroom is fully equipped with soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and feminine products and the beds are ultra comfortable.
A full sized washer and dryer are located next to the kitchen for those longer stays.
Air Conditioning / Heat
Mini splits are used to cool and heat the house. In the summer, the mini split should not be turned below 68 or you could risk freezing the condenser.
We are on septic
Desert homes use Septic Tanks for sewage. Please only flush toilet paper in the toilets. Throw wipes or feminine products in the garbage. Following these guidelines will help you avoid plumbing issues during your stay.
Washer and Dryer
We provide a washer and dryer in the breakfast nook just off of the kitchen. If you need it, please use it. Note: we do not offer laundry detergent at the property so you will need to bring your own.
The Desert is Wild!
We have a good deal of cactus around the house. On top of that, if you walk the property, there are a lot of native cactus’. For this reason. ALWAYS wear shoes outside. Do not touch the cactus, do not water the cactus! Always keep your eyes peeled for snakes (we haven't seen any but you never know!) Mostly there are a lot of lizards, rabbits, mice, and squirrels. We have seen some coyotes at night in the area.
Please note there is no public transit, Uber, Lyft, or ride share service. Taxi's may be available with enough notice.
PLEASE NOTE: The pool is currently unavailable for use as it has been winterized and closed for the season in Joshua Tree. This seasonal closure ensures the pool remains protected during colder months. The hot tub, however, remains available year-round for your enjoyment.

Our neighbors are very nice folks, and we enjoy the quiet and harmonious environment together. Please do not party and/or cause loud noises to help us maintain this peaceful environment. This home is very loved. Please treat it with respect, and it will respect you. 10pm quiet hours in the desert!

Parties or Events
We do not allow guests to throw parties or events in our home. Please be sure that any visitors leave by 10pm. We greatly appreciate your compliance on this as we do not want any issues with our neighbors. Quiet Hours in the neighborhood start at 10pm.
Pet
We welcome pets in our home. Up to two well-behaved, house-trained dogs are allowed with pre-approval, each incurring a $̲75 fee. Kindly clean up after your pets. Please notify us in advance if you plan to bring furry friends. If you have cats, please inquire before booking. Our pet policy: under 50 lbs, house-trained, all breeds welcome (non-aggressive), and pets should not be left unattended inside or must be crated.
