Your family has finally been able to get away to reconnect with each other. Everyone has just finished walking the beautiful hiking trail right across the street from our place. With great views of Oxtongue Lake and the changing fall leaves. You return to the cottage and everyone starts to gather around the outdoor firepit with a great view of the Lake. You sip your favorite drink, sit back on one of the Muskoka chairs and start to relax. You deserve a stay at what we call, The Lodge.

The Lodge is THE getaway for your family! Conveniently located off Highway 60, to enjoy the Muskoka and the Algonquin Highlands area. Located 20 minutes from Huntsville and Hidden Valley Ski Hill, 5 minutes to the lovely village of Dwight and 10 minutes to the West Gate of Algonquin Park. Situated on pristine Oxtongue Lake, across from Algonquin Outfitters. A beautiful year round retreat offering adventure for your family! Linens included!
The Lodge is a four season destination offering enjoyment year round. Our cottage is traditional Timber Frame cottage with 4 bedrooms for you and your family. It can accommodate up to 6 adults + 3-5 children or up to 8 adults. Large kitchen and dining table for a big pancake breakfast. The Lodge has a beautiful, large main room with a fireplace, dart board and several couches to play games together or sit and read quietly. The outdoor deck offers multiple sitting and eating areas to relax and hang out. The outdoor space is huge, great for lawn games in the summer. Choose between sitting on the dock and watch all the outdoor enthusiasts grab their canoes and kayak at Algonquin Outfitters (their flagship store!) or take one of ours out yourself and paddle down the lake. Our cottage is situated just on the other side of the bridge, which provides you with a smaller protected bay, where jet skis and power boats cannot drive by fast. Come and get cozy in the winter, take in the beautiful fall colours or visit in Spring when the animals come out of hibernation or relax your summer days away. The Lodge is a beautiful four season getaway!
Oxtongue Lake is an in-stream lake situated in the northern most area of the Township of Algonquin Highlands and is the last lake before reaching the west gate of Algonquin Park. It is a deep lake with excellent swimming and canoeing opportunities along its predominately sandy shoreline. The lake is enclosed by large sections of Crown Lands, including Ragged Falls at the north end, Oxtongue River Rapids to the sound end, and its close proximity to Algonquin Park ensures a backdrop of wilderness pleasure that has inspired paintings and books over its many years.
Located right by our cottage you will have access to:

– Ragged Falls one of the biggest waterfalls in the area, beautiful hiking and a photographer's dream
– Oxtongue Rapids – fantastic walking trail and picnic area, and whitewater in the Spring
