Summary: I'll start with the positives first: the terrace/balcony was fantastic for relaxing and we used it daily. It was nice to have room for everyone to have private space. The neighborhood was very clean and safe. Here is room for improvement: The house is clearly very much lived in by this family, and not really ready to be a vacation rental. Personal belongings (clothes, toys, shoes, cosmetics, hundreds of personal photos etc.) were absolutely piled high everywhere and there was not a single place to put our items in a dedicated "guest space", including no use of any closets or such. It sort of makes you feel like you are intruding. The toilets had huge amounts of calcifications and flushing was often a problem, as the toilets would clog. While it was vacuumed before arrival, the house was clearly not deep-cleaned before our arrival, leaving our cleaning fee to only benefit the owners or the next guests. Also, the owner did advise after the booking that the house was not entirely private, but renters shared the stairwell. Overall we were OK with our stay, because my husband and my mother could relax, but there was certainly much room for improvement and we realize we were the first guests ever. Thank you!
