Off-grid retreat … Dargo Viewz is a “hut” with a difference. The studio-style getaway is totally off-grid and set in a very peaceful, secluded area outside Dargo. Enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the Dargo valley. Winter mornings are special here – watch the fog clouds roll over the hills and meander through the valley.

The Space
The hut boasts a unique bathroom, accessible from inside the hut, with overhead shower and a full-length window view of the surrounding bush. The bedroom/living area is wrapped in windows to welcome the high-country views inside.
Outside, the country experience continues. Hosts, Bruce and Sue, have created a campfire area with some wood supplied. Try your hand at camp cooking with the camp oven, jaffle iron, billy and other equipment all provided.
A solar power system supplies the power for lighting and a remote-start generator is used for hot water and the split-system aircon.
Guests are able to wander freely over the property in front of the hut and bush-walking on other parts of the property with hosts’ permission. Metal detectors and gold pans are available for hire.
Best to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and other personal toiletries. Soap is provided though.
As the property is powered by solar and generator, please remember to turn the generator on prior to using your own appliances such as hair dryers etc.
Other things to note
Mobile coverge - the only mobile provider in the area is Telstra. If you don't use Telstra, please consider purchasing a Telstra SIM for your mobile phone to use during your stay in Dargo . Otherwise there is no other mobile service available.
