Positive: It's a beautiful property with lots of charm and great potential. Large windows to enjoy the view of nature, listen to birds, and watch deer stroll through the yard. It's also close to the beaches and plenty of things to do. The unit was equipped with an assortment of activities if the weather turned sour. The beds were comfortable and the bedding very nice. My son loved the roll out bed, which again was very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for the three of us.
Negative: There were a few things I wish I did know prior to our three day stay. The property is old and has an odor that doesn't dissipate. The stove is very old and burners don't heat evenly and one doesn't heat at all. The heat/drip pans were corroded and had holes. I used three of the four burners, two worked. The shower has good pressure but the shower head is flipping floppy. Things were dirty. The coffee pot hadn't been cleaned. There were cobwebs in the cabinets. I found dirty silverware, cups, and burn food in the skillets. All of the pot holders had crusty food on them, before I washed them. The dryer needs to be treated gently. The locking latch was broken and the door sagged. I had to hold it shut to dry my stuff. Wifi was shut off at 9am the morning of departure.
