We are back in the short term vacation rental network after an extended stay from a wonderful family! Great location! Perfect for families, wedding parties, work groups, and mountain bikers - a short drive to many biking trail heads - Bent Creek, Dupont, and many others. Large garage at house to keep your bikes and a hose on the patio to rinse them off. Only 3 miles from Main Street in Hendersonville and easy access to downtown Asheville. Ten minutes from the Asheville Airport and 25 minutes from downtown Asheville! Large vehicles are easily accommodated in the long, flat, circular driveway. Enjoy the fire pit with family and friends. Large shade trees surround the house, bordered by woods with walking trails. The 1 acre pond is easily viewed by chairs from the front porch. Fishing in the pond will capture the interest of fishermen of any age. Large mouth bass, brim and catfish keep this beautiful pond active and healthy. Please note this is a “catch and release only” fishing experience. Although most of the surrounding acreage is wooded, there is also a large grassy side yard and back yard for sports such as badmitton, wiffle ball, and frisbee.
This house has a fully equipped and updated kitchen that includes an island with bar stools, granite counter tops, and new appliances. The kitchen opens to a picturesque dining room with pond view. Outside the kitchen is a large brick paved patio furnished with table, chairs, and umbrella. The 5 spacious bedrooms have very comfortable beds. The den is a great get-away place for kids, as it is equipped with a ping-pong table and tv. This house has WIFI.
Downtown Hendersonville features fantastic restaurants, antique stores, and unique gift shops. During spring and summer months, flower baskets hang bountifully along the sidewalks, escorting you to your next venue. Play tennis, basketball, roller blade, or visit the playground at Patton Park, a mere 1.5 miles away.
This house is easy to access with a large circular, flat gravel driveway. Multiple vehicles can easily park. It is possible to park one RV on the property during a stay. The Pond House is the perfect departure point to western North Carolina’s scenic hikes, snow-skiing, waterfalls, and state-renowned attractions such as the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site, DuPont State Recreational Forest, and the top rated Flat Rock Playhouse Theatre. The Flat Rock Playhouse is the State Theatre of North Carolina and is considered one of the "Top Ten Theaters in the Country.” In addition, this home is 34 minutes (30 miles) from the acclaimed Tryon International Equestrian Center, that has events and shows year round. You may also like to tour and spend the evening at the local breweries including Sierra Nevada, Oscar Blues, etc. The famous Biltmore House is just a 25 minute drive from this home. The Pond Place is a great place to find privacy, enjoy nature, and allows easy access to multiple area attractions. It is sure to please those of any age. RV parking available, inquire for fee.
