Galini Breeze is situated on a quiet hill with fantastic views of both the sea and the mountains, on the edge of the authentic village of Agia Galini.
We have built this small-scale holiday complex in 2015 - 2016, to contemporary Dutch standards in terms of quality and comfort.
Each of 4 studios (for 2) has a private terrace and roof-deck, all with uninterrupted sea views. Separate bathroom and toilet and a kitchenette.
The villa (for 4) with private pool has 2 bedrooms, 2 livingrooms 4 outdoor terraces, garden, roof terrace and a small but richly equipped kitchen (plus a kitchenette in the 2nd living / bedroom); two bathrooms, one combined with a toilet, and a separate toilet.
All units are equipped with air conditioning, free WiFi (indoor and outdoor), a safe and satellite TV / Chromecast.
There is a large common heated pool (65m2) which offers a great terrace with umbrellas, sunbeds and outdoor showers. In this area there is the common outside bar/open kitchen with two fridges, dishwasher and dining space. There are outside tables and chairs for a total of 12 persons. Cookery, BBQ, oven, deep fry, and all utensils are provided.
The guests can gather together as a group around the pool and use the open plan kitchen and BBQ there, but also can choose to relax, have breakfast and dinner at their private house/studio terrace. That offers optimal flexibility and combines privacy with group experience. This is in particular a positive asset of this venue, compared to one-volume villas.
In the garden of the villa you can enjoy a second heated swimming pool (25m2) with umbrellas, sunbeds and outdoor shower.
All units are equipped with bed linen, towels and bath cosmetics. We provide beach towels at the pool. There is a start-stock of free bottles of water, coffee and tea.
Reliable broad-band internet (2.4/5gHz WiFi and a wired sockets in the rooms) is availably throughout the premises, so Galini Breeze is a perfect location for digital nomads too (ask our special rates for After Season or Wintering stay!).
Activities and excursions: whether it is about beautiful beaches, archaeological sites, walking routes or diving lessons; we will gladly tell you more about it.
Moreover, through our guest-app you can always view the current agenda of special festivities or markets in the region. Galini Breeze is after all an oasis of tranquility, but if you want action during your vacation, you can of course do that too!
Location: Agia Galini is located on the relatively quiet and authentic south coast of the southernmost Greek island of Crete. It was a quiet fishing village until the middle of the last century. From the sixties mainly backpackers and hippies came to this region; in the past decades also holidaymakers who want more luxury and convenience. What has remained is the relaxed character of the original fishing village and the hospitality of the local population.
In the pedestrian streets around the harbor and along the beach esplanada, there is a wide choice of restaurants and shops. The village also has some nice music cafes and lounge bars.
Furthermore, the village has a long beach, partly with sand and partly pebbles. Several secluded beaches and bays can be found in the vicinity.
