Comfortable but elegant family room opens to large 3-season porch overlooking Finney's Creek, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. Spacious grounds provide ample parking and access to water via dock. A canoe is available for guests. Expansive lawn offers plenty of room for croquet and bocci ball. There are 100 acres of farmland to explore as well. The bayside historic hamlet of Onancock, where there are numerous restaurants, quaint shops, a colonial museum and art galleries, is minutes away. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and Assateague National Seashore are an hour's drive. Two nearby wineries are open for tastings and are a quick drive or take the kayak winery tour from Onancock.

Summary: This was the perfect house for our group. It was definitely an older home, with lots of antiques and a lot of character. It could’ve been slightly cleaner. Also of the space was occupied with owners things which tended to clutter and make it hard to make use of all the space for fear of disrupting owners things. There was mail in kitchen, dressers were full. It felt like we had stepped into a lived in house as guests. The bathroom was well stocked, the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean, the antique carpets needed a cleaning. The outdoor space was amazing, we didn’t get a chance to use the canoe, but wish we did! We would definitely stay again. Luc
