Sunset Sands boasts stunning sunsets, harbour and hill views.
In an enviable location at the Bowentown end of Waihi Beach, Sunset Sands is light and lofty, recently renovated, great for families; it sleeps up to 6 adults and 10 altogether with kids. A short stroll to the surf beach, metres from the boat ramp and harbour, enjoy watersports, walks and cycle adventures or simply relax and enjoy catching up with friends and family.
Beachy relaxed and tastefully furnished; this open plan home is well set up for your stay. It features an outdoor courtyard with Weber BBQ, large communal kitchen/dining and lounge areas, 3 family style bedrooms each with a queen bed and additional singles, wifi TV and free internet. Beach gear, games & books for your use add to this memorable experience.
You have exclusive use of both upper levels, downstairs is the garden courtyard and BBQ area, laundry and second WC. The owner also uses part of the downstairs and is quite separate.
Parking on-site is provided for one vehicle, or two in a stacker arrangement; there's plenty of extra parking in the public carpark across Pio Road.
Check in is 3pm and check out 10am unless otherwise arranged.

House Rules
No outside visitors or guests, booked guests only.
We have a strict no drugs policy.
No events or loud parties. While we expect you to have fun and enjoy each other's company, please respect the neighbours. This is a residential area and more suited to family groups.
Quiet times are 10pm to 9am, take it inside between those hours and keep noise levels reasonable.
Access to the house is via Pio Road Service Lane to the rear - no parking on this road please. There is room for 1 or 2 vehicles to park on the private gravel parking area behind the house and plenty of parking across Pio Road in the carpark. 5 min load/unload on the asphalt road is OK but please keep the neighbour's garage door clear, stay near the fenceline.
The Service Lane is not a playground, it is not safe.
No smoking inside.
Ideal for children, however it is not toddler proofed so bring stair guards etc if you need them. Note we do not supply a high chair or cot.
Dogs allowed. Please let us know about your dog(s) beforehand as we reserve the right to decline if they do not sound suitable (most are OK!). The property is fenced.
Leave the beach outside! There is a hose tap for foot washing by the porch, leave footwear outside, on the porch. Wet clothing, togs, towels etc not to be worn upstairs, the outside WC is a good good changing space.
Do your own safety check when you arrive. Make sure everyone is familiar with the house, the house rules and how to get out if there is an emergency. The assembly point is across the road in the carpark. Check cupboards etc and move anything to out of reach that you think might get damaged or be unsafe.
