Positive: The host was very good and came to see us when we arrived to explain the area. And the decor was nice. There was a dishwasher and washing machine & and dryer, which was a nice touch.
Negative: The advert didn't advertise that it was the hosts residence and lived in between bookings, meaning that some of the hosts personal belongings where around and the rest where locked in the wardrobes meaning there was less storage space for your clothes. With children, this added extra pressure in case they damaged any of the hosts' personal items. There was no ironing board The Japanese toilet didn't work, and this was a disappointment as it was one of the selling points in the advert. There was a plug socket loose in the cuboard above the cooker with 2 wires going into another socket, which I found accidentally whilst I was looking for pepper, and this seemed quite dangerous There were several areas that could do with a tidy up in decor, etc, and for the cost of the stay, I think the host could improve in several areas. It wasn't a bad place to stay, but for the cost, I'd say there are improvements to be made. Several things like kitchen utensils having bits of rust and some items were dirty. The front door inside couldn't be locked with the key as it is taped over. This was alarming as with children, there was no way of locking the door, so they couldn't leave when we were asleep. The location was ok, and Uber taxis to valetta and other destinations are readily available. There is a spar a short distance from the apartment, and it is very good and reasonably priced. All in all, the apartment served its purpose, and we would visit again.
