Just 7 minutes from downtown Hudson sits our 18 acre apple orchard. Nestled in the trees is The Red Barn, a spacious retreat uniquely suited for guests that seek both large gathering spaces and individual breathing room. Privacy and ease are the main feature with 4 ensuite bedrooms and the added convenience of a separate laundry and full kitchen on each floor. Additionally, interior spaces have been designed with thousands of handcrafted tiles by your host, a Hudson Valley ceramicist.
In the Red Barn’s two story main room you will find a farm table that seats 12 with spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains on all sides. The first bedroom has a king bed, laundry and bath. The glassed in loft off the main room has two trundles that can be made into 2 king beds or 4 twins. The ground floor has a queen bedroom with bath and a bedroom with two twins and bath. Each bath not only display whimsically designed ceramics, they also offer luxurious soaking tubs and large showers.
Rows and rows of apple trees line the large outdoor space dedicated to the Red Barn. Each floor has a comfortable porch equipped with dining table and lounge chairs ping pong table, and queen bed. An outdoor gas grill is on hand. The lawn offers a regulation bocce court, and flat areas for croquet and badminton. Enjoy the solitary enrichment of a good book or center yourself on our meditation circle. A drop by at your host’s ceramic studio located on the property can always be arranged. A grocery store is 5 minutes away. We provide basic provisions (coffee, spices, sugar, flour etc.). A full array of appliances are available: toaster, blender, food processor, electric kettle, immersion blender, coffee grinder, and three types of coffee makers.
