Villa la Rocca is located on the top of the hill of Monsummano Alto, a medieval village in the province of Pistoia, located at 340 meters above sea level. This ancient village is characterized by 3 architectural elements: the Church of San Niccolao (in Roman-Gothic style) in the center, the old pentagonal watchtower on the left and the remains of the stone Arch on the right.
In the small square of the village (called Piazza Castello, where you can park your car), you will find the old “Foresteria”, now converted into a lovely restaurant with panoramic view over the valley.
From the hill of Monsummano Alto you can admire a breathtaking panorama on the Valdinievole area and on 6 of the 10 provinces of Tuscany.
At the foot of the hill is Monsummano Terme, renowned for its spas and and the well-known society specialized in the artisan production of chocolate and precious blends of coffee.
Also the nearby Montecatini Terme is a renowned spa resort, well-known for its historic Liberty-style villas and for its monumental thermal baths belonging to the Tettuccio complex.

The property (220 sqm), spread over 2 floors and furnished in a modern and essential style, can accommodate up to 12+2 people for a total of 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
The villa (originally a “lazzeretto”) is a a late middle-aged stone building that has been completely modernized, although it still has the original walls dating back to the end of the fifteenth century.
Ground floor: You are welcomed by a cozy, bright living room with armchairs, 2 single sofa beds, coffee table and a dining area. Following a modern kitchen, fully equipped with: electric oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, coffee machine. Next to the kitchen is the laundry with bathroom, washing machine and dryer.
On the same level, you will also find 2 elegant double bedrooms, both with ensuite bathroom (with shower) and a splendid view of the hill of Monsummano Alto and the surrounding valleys.
First floor: The first floor, accessible by stairs, is dedicated to the sleeping area divided as follows: 2 bedrooms with double bed (including one with a small balcony) and 1 large bedroom formed by a double bedroom and a small bedroom with two single beds (not joinable, ideal for children). Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (with shower) and small windows as they represent the original openings of the late 1400s.
Included free Wi-Fi and air conditioning (in all rooms). All windows are equipped with mosquito screens. Small pets are allowed.
