Travel Purpose: business
Positive: Good location, able to walk to stores and restaurants. Great to have a private beach, can snorkel or paddle or just relax. Nice to have separate cabanas for families and thankful for the AC during March. Grounds are well maintained. Main house is adequately stocked for cooking, although it does not have AC and we were told no fans were provided so it was quite uncomfortable to cook or spend time in there.
Negative: Property manager does not seem to have a plan in place for emergencies. One evening at 5:00 the door to one of the cabanas wouldn't open, so we called them to help us get in. They responded quickly, but then after 20 minutes we were told it was too late in the evening and no one could come until morning--basically the family had to be locked out overnight! Fortunately someone in our party was able to get a window open and open the broken latch from inside, so crisis averted. When we brought this up with the property manager the next day we were basically told they were not a hotel and it was our fault for locking the keys in (we did not lock the keys in; the latch was broken). I can appreciate that they are a small operation, but how is acceptable to leave your clients locked out for 16 hours?
