Positive: Everything was very clean and new. Beds, blankets, and pillows were quite comfy for two adults and two kids. Nice, new automated bathtub and toilet with bidet. The apartment was quite roomy for Tokyo. We liked having a bedroom, a living room/sofa, and a dining table. The bathroom was huge. Washing machine had a dryer function, which was nice. The property also provided umbrellas to borrow, as well as toothbrushes, laundry soap, shampoo, soap, and conditioner. There is an oven with a stove, a nice-sized fridge, and an electric kettle. The property also takes out the trash and recycling, so you don’t need to. Heaters and WiFi both worked well. We also really enjoyed the neighborhood. Close to 3 grocery stores, a Lawson, and many izakaya. Quiet area other than the train. Property was very responsive, even though we messaged for the door code around 21:30 when we first got there after our flight landed.
Negative: Check-in was a little confusing. We did not realize that the property has a smart door lock code to get into the building, then a second check-in code that you enter once you are inside. The property sent the door lock code in their first message after we made the reservation, but the message was in Japanese, so we missed this. They sent subsequent follow-up messages with the second check-in code. So we thought the check-in code was for the door, but it was not. Fortunately, when we messaged the property to ask how to get into the building, they responded right away with the correct door code. Also, there are two different El Maison Omori properties next to each other. There is no outside light in front of the rental unit, so we didn’t realize that this was the correct entrance. We were trying to enter the other unit because it was also called El Maison Omori. There seem to be several properties around the area called El Maison Omori, so make sure you have directions to the right address. We could not get the projector to work, and there is no TV, which isn’t a big deal to us but may be disappointing to others. There are shutters outside the windows, so you cannot see outside at all. The noise from the train station can be loud, but it didn’t really bother us. The property is close enough to sort of hear the train announcements. The dryer dries very slowly.
