3 Bedroom House in Mal Pais, Playa Carmen mal pais

This is one of the most special oceanfront houses in sight and sound of the waves breaking. The house was totally built of the beautiful rare 'Almandro' wood some thirty five years ago. It sits on a wide grassy property with large mature trees and is just meters from the ocean. The house itself has an open floor plan and the kitchen and outdoor dining area are in a separate building adjacent. From every room and area of the property you can watch and listen to the waves roll in to the shore, and see the water as the tide comes in and out.
There is one air conditioned bedroom downstairs which is set up to be used as a work space. There is a bathroom, dressing room with a balinese style outdoor shower. Stairs to upper level divides the space into two bedrooms, one king and one queen on the open balcony and a bathroom with shower. There is no air conditioning upstairs as the windows are latticed but have no glass so you are open to nature and the sound of the waves and tide receding. You are as if in a tree house. It is magical. There are lots of fans if needed but the breeze makes these unnecessary most nights and we love falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Our guest here even in the hottest months find it the coolest breeziest property on the whole stretch of coast from Mal Pais to Playa Hermosa.
The kitchen in its own building in front of the main house is well equipped. Cooking can also take place on an outside BBQ. There is a table big enough to comfortably seat 8 people outdoors there and in the house a table for six.
There are two bathrooms, one with shower upstairs and one downstairs with a balinese style outdoor shower. We also have a shower in the entrance from the beach.
The house can sleep up to 6 adults and 2 children. However it is best for one family or a couple or maybe a few good friends as the house is quite intimate. Please do get in touch for pricing on specific dates. Daily maid service is included in the price. Discounts for a week or longer. Four night minimum most of the year but seven night minimum New Year and Easter. I look forward to hearing from you.

Summary: Hope you are well. Today is our last day and I wanted to say thank you so much for sharing this special spot. We have had an incredible stay in the Santa Teresa area and my favorite part is always knowing we get to return here to refresh, relax and be together as a family. Your home is so special...I love the wood walls with their multi-directional textures, uniquely styled windows, elegant linens and stylish fabrics, nooks to relax, and homemade treasures from the sea all around. The toilet paper holder is my favorite! Plenty of space for us all to enjoy independent time, while still feeling connected and safe. The kitchen and dining space are so fun. Beautiful views & breezes, plenty of space and equipment to whip up something fresh. Having a cold shady pool to dip into throughout the day is divine! The kids of course have had a blast in it and we have all enjoyed cooling off after our adventures. Being on the ocean, watching the change of tides, hearing the waves throughout the day and night...the home...pool...gardens...it is all truly SPECTACULAR. Of course, having Ginny makes it all over the top. Just knowing she will be around to check on us, help us take care of your home, and provide us with some fresh laundry helps me to relax even more.
