Moulin Vaddie is surrounded by mountains, lochs, burns and forests. Fantastic walks to deep pools in burns to swim in that can all be reached from the back door of the cottage. Other activities include rock climbing, boating and there is a tennis court 2 miles away for shared use with other holiday cottages. The cottage is reached by a mystical access road through the wild forest and allows guests to adjust to the utter wilderness while watching wild birds, deer and hares. You can enjoy the complete silence and the never ending views, climb monroes from the doorstep or simply just relax in the walled garden. The property is surrounded by fields which make for good team sports. There is a swing in the trees opposite and a burn nearby providing endless activities for children. The cottage was recently restored to impeccable and comfortable standards with all modern conveniences and boasts 2 Jetmaster fireplace, the one in the bar is an indoor barbecue.

Summary: We did enjoy our stay at the cottage. Getting there is not for the fainthearted. In fact it was too much for one couple and they chose to book themselves into a hotel in Pitlochry rather than face the drive down the mile long dirt track. The other two couples stayed for our full time there. There were some enchanting things about the cottage, the scenery was first class. The house itself was comfortable but the bathrooms weere all lacking. The first had no heat, the second bathroom desperately needed a new shower curtain and the shower room had smold in the showe stall. The living room and kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking. There was plenty of firewood. One we got to grips with the heating, we found the three bedrooms upstairs comfortable and clean. Be prepared to move cows as you go through the 5 gates on the way. The changing light, heard of deer, cows and sheep were fascinating and fun.
