Summary: I stayed with my three children over Xmas 2024. Each wanted their own room, hence why I booked a 4 bedroom house. Upon arrival one room was not made. We asked where the bedding was and was informed in a locked cupboard. The owners offered to sort it out but not for 24 hours, so we found a compromise. We were left 3 dishwasher tablets for the week, 1 inch of washing up liquid and little in the way of bathroom or WC supplies. No commune bin bags were left as stated in their rules of the house. The cooker is old and doesn't work properly. There is only one tray in the main oven, which caused issue cooking Xmas dinner. Then the door of the dishwasher fell off. There were logs for the fire but lasted only one day. We were told if we wanted more to go and buy them. In the rules of the house, we were expected to strip the bedding, replace any moved furniture and clean all the dishes before we left, despite paying for a cleaner in the cost. We had an early train and getting tired kids up to travel was a struggle. We did our best, so I apologise we never quite got it fully cleaned as requested. All the above can be improved at not a lot of cost to the owner, given the cost of the apartment for the week. I think they should offer a little more to incoming guests especially a single parent family. Then it will be a great place. On the positive side the snow was incredible, the house was warm and comfortable and the kids had a blast.Thank you.
