Summary: For reference- we are an American family of 4 (children ages 10 and 12) This apartment was lovely and wonderful for our 3 night stay. We loved our time here so much, we considered trying to extend our stay. The location is perfect with a wonderful view of the sea. The apartment had everything we could need during our stay. It was clean and exactly like the pictures. The beach is literally a 3 min walk from the apartment.Negatives- really there aren’t many. I found the instructions for how to get into the building a little difficult to follow when we first arrived so I was a bit frustrated at the start. The host was very responsive and was able to assist right away via text (due to translation). Our only other complaint is that we walked up and down the stairs and hallways in complete darkness for 2.5 days before we realized how to turn on the lights in the hallway. This is more of an American problem because we do not have these types of things in the states (that I know of). Only other negative is that- without air conditioning, you will want to open the windows and the doors but you will get tons of mosquitos and insects inside. I only wish there were screens so we could leave the windows open in the hot weather to cool us off at night (again, as Americans from Texas we are just not used to this). Overall excellent stay. We loved the beach and the local shops and restaurants. The town is adorable and is a great home base to explore Honfleur& DDay beaches/history.
