La Carolie is great place to stay to escape the hustle and bustle of the big cities. We are rural enough to enjoy the surrounding sites and countryside but not too rural that it’s inconvenient. Located a short drive from Mauzac in Grand Castang, you can reach Lalinde in just over 10 minutes where you will find a supermarket, banks, cafes, shops and most other conveniences. Also nearby is Sainte Alvere with restaurants, pharmacy and local mini market. A famous truffle market is here weekly.
The Gite was added on to our small 19th century farmhouse in the 1970’s. Since taking over the property in December 2020 we have tried to put our own stamp on the Gite and bring it up to date. The large 11 x 5 pool will be welcoming on the hot summer days and the large terrace perfect for alfresco dining and relaxing. The 3 nicely proportioned bedrooms are individually decorated and unique and should provide comfort and a good nights sleep. We are located in a rural farming area and our neighbours are dairy farmers. We often get milk and fresh eggs from them and maybe you can too!
Guests staying at La Carolie have the entire Gite which is up a flight of stairs and all rooms are on the same floor. Underneath the gite is a the boiler room which also provides additional storage and has a washing machine and drying area. Washing lines are available under the terrace. The pool is for the sole use of guests staying in the gite and is located 20 metres in front of the gite through the garden.
*The Gite has 3 bedrooms, 1 with shower, bathroom, Kitchen/Living area and Terrace. The table inside can be extended for dining indoors. 6 adults or a family combination up to 6 can be accommodated comfortably. Should you have an additional small child or baby, please let us know and we can put another single bed in room 1.
*The washing machine is located in the storage room underneath the gite and is also used by the owners.
*The pool is out of sight of the gite and adults must supervise children at all times. The pool depth is over 5ft at both ends and therefore too deep for toddlers without supervision.
*We have only a few neighbours but we would still like to respect them by keeping noise to a minimum after 10pm.
*The location of the gite is quite rural and in the countryside and the neighbours are mainly farmers with agriculture around us in the fields.
