Positive: It is a good location in a quiet alley in the old quarter. The host Minh Le is quick to respect and discuss information. The room was in good condition and clean. All appliances worked. It comes with free toiletries and towels. The price of the accommodation is great compacted to more expensive options on the same alley. It is better quality than most places in the alley and Hanoi. It would be great for solo travellers, professionals, couples who need to spend one or a few nights. It’s cheaper than even hostel and hotel private rooms. Hanoi is a safe city and do not be deterred by the appearance of the old alley. It has good shops and accommodation in it. It’s part of the charm of the old city. It looks like you are in Hanoi.
Negative: You have to walk through an estate agent shop to get to the accommodation, that is closed at night and you have to type in a passcode. That wasn’t a problem for me and my needs for this trip. It may be for you.
