Summary: Staying here was a once in a lifetime experience! We were just steps away from the ocean which was breathtaking to view from lava rock cliffs. Our accommodations really set the vibe for this part of the Big Island. It was very tropical and like living in a rain forest with the greenery and fragrant flowers. The outdoor shower was a refreshing experience ( though an indoor shower is available, this outdoor shower is a must-do). Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, many little thoughtful touches. The accommodations were very clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They are very passionate about living on this part of the island and eager to share their excitement with you. Breakfasts are delicious! Especially all of the fresh fruit. The lodge is a destination in and of itself, not just a place to sleep after seeing other places on the island.
