The newly renovated top holiday apartment in Makarska guarantees beautiful living in a prime location. The house beach of the detached villa is directly below the apartment. The old town with its restaurants, cafés and markets is less than 300 meters away - if you want to leave the architect's apartment at all. Because not only the terrace, in the garden of the villa, which protects from the tourism trouble, offers a phenomenal panoramic view of the city, the Biokovo Mountains and the Adriatic Sea.
In the new free-standing kitchen in the winter garden, our guests are served all the beauties of the region at a glance. The spacious air-conditioned living room with satellite TV and house bar invite you to linger even on rainy days. The cozy bedroom with east window and the spacious bathroom with separate toilet round off the living space to a completely successful holiday ensemble.
Location:
The apartment is located on the ground floor of the most beautifully located house in Makarska. The villa is located on the edge of the old town's harbor promenade above the four-star Hotel Osejava. From the terrace and winter garden you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of the old town and the port of Makarska and the Biokovo mountains above, as well as the Adriatic Sea to the islands of Brac and Hvar.
The old town and thus all shops (vegetable and fish market, various supermarkets and kiosks), as well as cafes and restaurants (café / bar Yeti with free WiFi and friendly service, on the main square to the right of the church as well as the Kalalarga tavern and the restaurant of the Hotel Biokovo) can be easily reached on foot in a few minutes. You have even closer to the next swimming opportunity. A pebble beach is right below the apartment. On the other hand, the architect's apartment is well protected from the tourist trouble of the high season due to the lush Mediterranean, shade-giving vegetation of the in-house garden and the slightly secluded location.

Via the terrace, the apartment is entered through the winter garden, where the spacious new kitchen with bar welcomes the visitor. The kitchen and the outer and inner dining area form a perfectly coordinated, self-contained ensemble with a panoramic view. The spacious living room adjoins the winter garden: with TV (satellite connection with all German programs), house bar, stereo and seating area. From the living room, where two additional beds are possible thanks to the pull-out sofa bed, you can reach the double bedroom and the bathroom with large shower and sink through a side corridor with wardrobe. The toilet is separate.
The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, which can also act as a heater (see travel times) and a washing machine. A parking space directly at the house is available.
Travel times:
For hiking enthusiasts, spring in the Biokovo Mountains is a must when the blue irises and rosemary sticks bloom and the unique flora and fauna unfold in the nature reserve. Guided tours and excursions can be booked directly with the landlord. There is also the possibility to book overnight stays with dinner in Villa Josipovic, which is located directly at the foot of the limestone walls of the Biokovo Mountains.
During the main season in the hot summer months of July and August, Makarska is the tourist and entertainment center of the Riviera. Numerous bars and clubs in the immediate vicinity of the apartment, as well as boats that literally besiege the harbor, invite you to do evening activities, but also contribute to a very loud and lively atmosphere - especially in the evenings and at night - throughout the city.
The sun-rich and not so hot autumn is particularly recommended until November. The apartment is equipped with heating for cooler nights. From the end of September, the relaxed calm typical of Dalmatia will return. Then Makarska is again a tranquil, peaceful coastal town. Most of the clubs and bars are closed except for a few nice cafes and good restaurants, which are also frequented by locals.

Makarska can also be easily reached from Germany via the new Croatian north-south A1 motorway. Exit: Sestanovac, approx. 25 km away.

Towards the port / center of Makarska.
Turn right at the end of the harbor promenade (road between the paid parking lot and the park).
At the end of the street (small parking lot, tennis courts can be seen on the left), turn right into the gravel path. You are now driving straight towards the house. You can park right in front of it.
Access to the apartment is not through the lower garden gate, only through the garden gate from the sea side, around the corner.
