Positive: Great location to visit Le Morne and Chamarel. Good restaurants nearby. We used public transport in Mauritius and there is a bus stop close by but we needed to rent a car for a day to enjoy Chamarel, Le Morne and the local area. Rusty Lizard recommended somewhere to rent a car for the day which we picked up at 4 30 pm which meant we went to Le Morne that afternoon and had a full day exploring Chamarel and the South West of Mauritius the following day. The pool was lovely too.
