Positive: You dont really have to do anything while you're there, just sit in your fabulous lounge (or on one of the many benches in the garden) and admire the breath-taking view. The antique furniture in the bedrooms is stunning! And yet the bathrooms have all the modern tweaks. Did I mention the fireplaces in both living rooms? During our stay we visited the Rococo Gardens, the Woodchester Mansion, the Goodrich Castle, Juniper cafe and St Mary's in Painswick, and went to the Saturday market in Stroud.
Negative: There wasn't anything we didn't like. Perhaps that the local pub was a little overpriced. The house is situated in a charming village (one church, one pub, one playground). There are lots of walking, cycling, and horse-riding opportunities around. My personal favourite place to visit was Painswick which is stunningly beautiful and looks like something in the south of France or Italy.
Summary: It's the house with the best view in the Cotswolds!
