Positive: Amazing building - it's an old church that has been beautifully converted into a holiday villa, which makes it very different from the usual holiday let. There are 3 well sized bedrooms, all with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. The old church hall is a fantastic, large space for the whole family to hang out together. The grounds are sizeable and fully enclosed so small children (or in our case, a dog) can run free. Despite feeling like a mediaeval building it has all the comforts you'd expect, including wifi. It's only a few minutes drive from Fiesole, which is a small town with impressive Etruscan and Roman ruins which we found worthy of a day's visit in its own right. It also has some nice restaurants and cafes around the town square. From Fiesole it's an easy (and cheap) bus ride into the centre of Florence (even for wheelchair users) so we spent several days exploring Florence without the hassle of driving into the city. The property manager who met us upon our arrival was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He showed us around the property and explained the odd quirks you'd expect from such an old building.
Negative: Nothing. Be aware that to get to the property you leave Fiesole on some narrow, winding country lanes, but that's standard for rural Tuscany! We drove a VW T5 there and it was a tight fit at times when we met oncoming traffic, but we always squeezed through.
Summary: This is a delightful holiday rental in a lovely location. We had a wonderful week there.
